Fragments of Soyuz-2.1b rocket launched from Vostochny Cosmodrome found

In the Vilyuysky District of Yakutia, the evacuation of fragments from the Soyuz-2.1b launch vehicle, which was launched from the Vostochny Cosmodrome in December 2025, has been completed. This was officially reported by the regional rescue service. According to Ixbt.com reports.

According to representatives of the rescue team, a total of about 3.5 tons of rocket elements were removed from the area. All search and transport operations were carried out in accordance with approved regulations, with the participation of ecologists and local government officials.

Experts collected soil and air samples from the area where the rocket fragments fell. Preliminary analyses show that all indicators meet established environmental standards and no damage was caused to the environment.

The recovered fragments were transported to the city of Vilyuysk and placed in special containers. According to the plan, these parts will later be returned to the Vostochny Cosmodrome for recycling or disposal.

As a reminder, the Soyuz-2.1b rocket was launched on December 28, 2025. During this mission, the Aist-2T satellite and 50 other small satellites were successfully placed into orbit.
