Uzbek criminal deported from the USA
A 37-year-old citizen, wanted for a long time on charges of drug trafficking in Uzbekistan, was arrested in the USA and deported to Uzbekistan. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
It is noted that the location of the wanted person was determined as a result of operational measures carried out by the Operational-Search Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in cooperation with US law enforcement agencies and the US Embassy in Tashkent.
It is reported that this individual, born in 1989, was declared wanted in 2023 on suspicion of committing a crime under Article 276, Part 2 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan. He is accused of illegal activities involving narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances.
As a result of the cooperation, he was identified and arrested in New York, USA, and extradited to Uzbekistan in accordance with established procedures.
Currently, investigative actions are ongoing against him within the framework of the law. Experts emphasize that this case is an effective example of international cooperation.
