SOND startup from former Bose executive raises $7 million in funding

SOND, a startup founded by the former head of Bose's sleep technology division, has officially launched. The Boston-based company has successfully raised $7 million to develop next-generation earbuds designed to improve sleep quality. This is reported by Techcrunch.com reports .

The company's debut product, called Dreambuds, is not just a noise-canceling device, but a system that takes real-time action based on the user's state. The device tracks 12 different physiological signals, such as breathing, heart rate variability, and body position. This data is transmitted to a cloud-based AI sleep coach system, and the AI selects or creates the most suitable audio program for the user.

SOND founder and CEO Yadid Eisenberg previously led the Sleepbuds 2 project at Bose. After Bose decided to exit the sleep technology market, Eisenberg decided to found a new startup in this field. He is joined by former Google engineer Amir Lazarovich as CTO.

The investment round was supported by E14 Fund, Crosslink Capital, Ubiquity Ventures, and several other major funds. Dreambuds users will not only be able to use ready-made audio programs but also interact with AI to receive personalized sleep analysis.
