New relief for agriculture: diesel subsidies to be provided

Another important decision aimed at supporting the agricultural sector has been adopted in Uzbekistan. According to it, subsidies will be allocated to certain agro-enterprises to partially cover diesel fuel costs. This was announced via the Legal Information Telegram channel.
According to the document, for the period from April 1 to July 1, 2026, a subsidy will be provided for the portion of the cost of each ton of diesel fuel purchased by agricultural enterprises through exchange trading that exceeds 13 million soums. The amount of the allocated funds is set not to exceed 2 million soums.
This financial support will be provided from the state budget through the Agency for Payments in the Agrarian Sector. This mechanism is expected to help reduce fuel costs for farmers and agro-enterprises.
Also, in accordance with the decree, starting from September 1, 2026, certain powers of the State Support for Agriculture Fund to allocate subsidies will be transferred to this agency.
Under the new procedure, subsidies will be provided to agricultural entities to cover a portion of the value of electronic invoices issued for the sale of raw cotton grown using their own funds and commercial bank loans on the exchange.
In addition, the mechanism for covering a portion of raw cotton purchased by cotton-textile clusters and enterprises with yarn production chains using their own funds will now also be transferred to the agency's jurisdiction.
Experts believe that these innovations will serve to support agricultural producers, reduce their expenses, and increase efficiency in the sector.
