Heavy rain expected in several regions of Uzbekistan on May 22

Uzhydromet has released the weather forecast for Friday, May 22. According to forecasters, rain is expected in several regions of the republic, with heavy rainfall, thunderstorms, and increased wind speeds possible in some areas.
Tashkent citywill have variable cloudiness, with intermittent rain and thunderstorms likely. The wind will blow from the west at 3–8 m/s, potentially gusting up to 10–12 m/s at times. Temperatures will be around 17–19°C at night and 24–26°C during the day.
Karakalpakstan Republic and Khorezm region will remain mostly dry. However, wind speeds may increase to 13–18 m/s in some areas, with dust storms possible in certain locations. Daytime temperatures will reach 27–32°C.
Bukhara and Navoi regions are expected to see rain in some areas, with heavy precipitation and thunderstorms possible in others. Increased wind and dust storms may occur.
Tashkent, Syrdarya, Jizzakh and Samarkand regions are also expected to experience rain, which may be heavy in some areas. There is also a possibility of thunderstorms and increased wind. Daytime temperatures will be around 22–27°C.
Kashkadarya and Surkhandarya regions will have variable cloudiness, with rain and thunderstorms possible in some places. In the Fergana Valley — Andijan, Namangan, and Fergana regions — heavy rain is also forecast for some areas.
The foothills'and mountainous regions face a more concerning situation. Risks of heavy rain, increased wind speeds, and flash floods remain in these areas.
