Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola is seen as one of the main candidates to manage the Italian national team, which failed to qualify for the 2026 World Cup. Guardiola is one of the most successful coaches in football history. He worked at Barcelona, Bayern and Manchester City, winning more than 40 trophies. His greatest success was with Barcelona from 2008 to 2012, when he won 14 tournaments, including two Champions Leagues, three Spanish championships and two Club World Cups.
At Bayern (2013-2016) he won seven trophies, won the Bundesliga for three years and won the Club World Cup. Pep has been at Manchester City since 2016 and has recently won the English League Cup, taking his total to 19 trophies with the team.
