The famous Dutch football team PSV Eindhoven achieved a historic victory this season with its high results in the Eredivisie competition - the club demonstrated its potential to become the champion for the third time in a row.
In the 29th round, PSV defeated Utrecht at home with a score of 4:3. At the same time, another major team of the capital, Feyenoord, drew its match with Volendam with a score of 0:0, losing the opportunity to catch up with PSV.
As a result, PSV officially won the championship with five rounds left before the end of the season. Feyenoord, who came in second, fell 17 points behind the leaders and lost the main battle of the season.
Thus, PSV became the Dutch champion for the 27th time in its history. The club also has 11 national cups and 15 super cups in its collection, which confirms the dominance of the team in the domestic arena.
PSV has also made a name for itself on the international stage - the team has won trophies in prestigious competitions such as the European Champions Cup and the UEFA Cup.
