The Uzbekistan national football team has begun the most important journey in its history. On the morning of May 26, our representatives flew to the USA via a Tashkent–New York flight. This is not just an ordinary international training camp, but a major step toward the first World Cup that Uzbek football has dreamed of for years.
Head coach Fabio Cannavaro is taking 30 players to the USA for the World Cup preparation process. Later, 26 players will be selected for the final World Cup squad. This means another important stage of competition lies ahead for the players: every training session, every friendly match, and every action could influence the final selection.

Uzbekistan Airways provided a specially prepared Boeing 787 Dreamliner for the national team. The aircraft features a special livery with inscriptions such as "Alga Uzbekistan" and "Blue Wolves," adding symbolic meaning to this historic journey. It has become more than just a flight; it is a journey carrying the dreams of an entire nation.
On May 22, at the Bunyodkor Stadium, the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev met with the members of the national team to wish the players luck and success. A festive event in honor of the first World Cup was also held that day. This meeting undoubtedly provided a great psychological boost to the team.

For the Uzbekistan national team, this World Cup is of historic significance, as our representatives will participate in the world's biggest football stage for the first time. Now, the national team will defend not only its name but also the trust, dreams, and hopes of millions of fans.
Fabio Cannavaro's charges will play their first World Cup match on June 17 in Mexico City against the Colombia national team. In Tashkent time, this match falls on the morning of June 18. The opening game against Colombia will be crucial for our team, as the first result will have a significant psychological impact on subsequent group matches.

Now, all attention is focused on the stadiums in the USA, Mexico, and Canada. Great challenges lie ahead for the Uzbekistan team, but this squad has already made history. The next task is not just to be a participant in the World Cup, but to show the character of Uzbek football to the whole world.
In short, the Uzbekistan national team has headed to the USA to participate in its first World Cup. A special plane, a meeting with the president, 30 players, and the trust of millions of fans — every detail of this journey is historic. Now there is only one thing to say: Go, Uzbekistan!
