BYD Blade 2.0 battery successfully passes extreme tests

The disassembly process of the second-generation BYD Blade battery was broadcast live. A group of automotive bloggers spent several hours using electric saws, angle grinders, crowbars, and hammers to open the battery pack. Chinese social media users dubbed the process a "brutal disassembly" due to the methods used and the time taken. This is reported by Ixbt.com news.
Organizers reported that it took approximately eight hours to reach the internal cells of the battery. Despite numerous impacts and cutting attempts during the test, no smoke or fire occurred.
In the live stream comments, viewers focused primarily on the structural integrity of the battery pack. Discussions highlighted the sealing methods, thermal insulation materials, and structural reinforcement technologies.
The team conducting the disassembly identified only minor manufacturing defects, such as uneven glue application inside the battery. This test once again confirmed the high safety level and mechanical impact resistance of the BYD Blade 2.0 technology.
