Moskvich: Demand for new models exceeds supply and sales are rising

The Moskvich automobile plant announced a significant increase in sales of M-series vehicles to private individuals in April 2026. According to the plant's press service, the number of registered vehicles in April more than doubled compared to March. This is reported by Ixbt.com reports .
Company representatives explained that the slight decrease in total sales volume in April compared to March was due to the registration of demo vehicles. The statistical discrepancy arose because many display models were registered in March, but interest in the M-line among private customers continues to grow.
Previously, data circulated that a total of 68 Moskvich M70 and 38 Moskvich M90 crossovers were sold in the Russian market during April. Nevertheless, the manufacturer emphasizes that demand for versions equipped with a two-liter engine is very high.
Currently, demand for these models has exceeded the available supply. Despite this, the plant administration stated that the production process for Moskvich M70 and Moskvich M90 vehicles is strictly continuing according to the established schedule.
