Ethereum Foundation loses two more leading researchers

The Ethereum Foundation has been left by two more high-ranking researchers. With the departure of Julian Ma and Carl Beek, the number of influential specialists who have left the organization in recent months has reached at least eight. Julian Ma contributed to the development of the Ethereum ecosystem for four years, and Carl Beek for seven years. This is reported by Cointelegraph.com .
While Julian Ma worked on the Ethereum network's censorship resistance and various cross-layer bridge algorithms, Carl Beek played a key role in the initial design of the Beacon Chain and the implementation of the proof-of-stake mechanism on the blockchain. Ma announced on his X social media page that he is leaving to focus on product and growth strategy.
Last year, Ethereum founder Vitalik Buterin announced governance changes and new directions for the organization. This step was taken in response to user criticism regarding the blockchain development roadmap, with the goal of attracting new talent to increase network speed. However, the departure of five leading developers and researchers in May of this year indicates that the staff turnover process within the organization is ongoing.
Recall that earlier this month, Protocol Cluster team leaders Barnabé Monnot and Tim Beiko also announced their departure from the organization, while Alex Stokes went on leave. In April, project manager Josh Stark and contributor Trent Van Epps, and in February, Deputy Executive Director Tomasz Stanczak announced their resignations.
