Ancient Arabic books seized at Tashkent Airport

Two antique Arabic books were seized at Tashkent International Airport from a passenger arriving from Istanbul, reported \"Podrobno.uz\".
According to the press service of the \"Tashkent-AERO\" complex, customs officers found the books hidden among the passenger’s personal belongings. One book was large with a brown leather cover and Arabic script, while the other was smaller with a red cover.
Preliminary evaluation estimates the value of the books at around 320 million soums (approximately $24,000).
Authorities are now investigating the origin of the books and whether any laws regarding the import of cultural and historical items were violated.
