58.7 million soums stolen from Bukhara enterprise
A criminal case has been opened over the theft from an enterprise in Bukhara, according to the regional police department’s press office.
On May 6, 2024, unidentified individuals broke into a company in Bukhara and stole parts of the video surveillance system, 30 meters of electric cable, and spare parts from a freezer. The total damage is estimated at 58.7 million UZS, reports Upl.uz.

The case was opened under Article 169, Part 2 of the Criminal Code of Uzbekistan. Investigators identified a suspect born in 2002 in Tashkent region and his accomplice. They may face up to 5 years in prison.

Authorities are also investigating whether the individuals were involved in other similar crimes.
