A major fire broke out at a gas station in Urgench

In Khorezm region, in the city of Urgench, yesterday, on August 8, in the evening, a large fire occurred. According to the Ministry of Emergency Situations, the incident was recorded at about 19:47 on the territory of a mobile gas station for vehicles located on Jannatmakon Street.
According to preliminary data, the fire broke out during the process of transferring gasoline from a fuel tanker truck to a fuel storage tank. At that moment, it is presumed that either safety regulations were violated or a technical malfunction occurred.
Following the incident, 5 fire-rescue crews arrived at the scene at 19:50 and were able to localize the fire in just 6 minutes. At 20:06, the fire was completely extinguished.
As a result of the fire, approximately 3 tons of gasoline stored in the mobile tanker burned and were damaged. Fortunately, no one sustained bodily injuries as a result of the incident.
At present, the exact cause of the fire and the amount of material damage are being investigated by a special commission. Officials emphasize that at such facilities it is extremely important to strictly comply with safety measures, regularly inspect technical equipment, and train staff in safe working practices.
