According to the information, city mayor Muzaffar Rajabboyev was dismissed due to mistakes made at work. He had been serving as the city mayor since February 2024.

Sadriddin Shokosimov has been appointed as the new deputy mayor of the city. Before his appointment to this position, he was working as the deputy mayor.
