Fisherman stranded in the middle of a river during heavy rain in Tashkent rescued

On the night of May 11, a citizen was rescued from a dangerous situation caused by heavy rain in Tashkent. The incident occurred on the Chirchiq River, which flows through the Yangikhayot district.
According to a report received by the Tashkent City Emergency Situations Department, a citizen identified as B.M., who had gone fishing, became stranded on a small island in the middle of the river and was unable to return on his own.
Preliminary information indicates that the water level in the river rose sharply in a short time due to heavy rainfall. As a result, the citizen's attempt to return to the shore posed a serious threat to his life.
Following the report, emergency rescue teams immediately arrived at the scene. Through special rescue operations, the citizen was brought to a safe area, and his life was saved.
Authorities remind citizens to be cautious around rivers and water bodies during rainy days and to strictly follow safety regulations.
