Renowned sports commentator Dmitry Guberniev has commented on Russian goalkeeper Matvei Safonov's recent success. Safonov saved four penalties in the shootout during the Intercontinental Cup final, securing the trophy for PSG.

Guberniev praised Safonov highly on his Telegram channel, calling him worthy of becoming PSG's first-choice goalkeeper. Earlier reports indicated that Safonov has won a total of six titles with PSG, including the European Champions Cup.

Currently, PSG is in second place in the French league standings, trailing Lens by one point.
