Osipova wins gold, Uzbekistan starts Asian Championship strongly

The kyorugi events of the Asian Taekwondo WT Championship have kicked off in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia. Encouragingly, the Uzbekistan national team managed to enrich its medal tally on the very first day of the competition.

At the end of the first day, our representatives secured 1 gold, 1 silver, and 1 bronze medal. This result demonstrates that our team arrived well-prepared and that our athletes are aiming for high goals on the continental stage.

The brightest result of the day was recorded by Olympic medalist Svetlana Osipova. Competing in the +73 kg weight category, our experienced taekwondo athlete surpassed all her opponents, securing a gold medal for the Uzbekistan national team.
