Loris Karius rejects Serie A offer and extends contract with Schalke

The goalkeeper, who played a key role in the Gelsenkirchen club's promotion to the Bundesliga, has successfully revived his career in Germany. This is reported by Goal.com reports .

Leaving his past setbacks behind, Karius led Schalke to the 2. Bundesliga title. The 32-year-old goalkeeper, who joined the team in January 2025, quickly became one of the squad's most reliable players. According to Sky Sports, the parties are close to an agreement on a new contract.

This decision is a major success for Schalke, who have returned to the Bundesliga. The club had struggled to find stability in goal since Manuel Neuer left for Bayern Munich in 2011. Karius's stay has restored the long-awaited confidence in the team.
