Loris Karius rejects Serie A offer and extends contract with Schalke

Former Liverpool goalkeeper Loris Karius has decided to continue his partnership with Schalke despite interest from Italian clubs. This decision is a major success for Schalke, who have returned to the Bundesliga. The club had struggled to find stability in goal since Manuel Neuer left for Bayern Munich in 2011. Karius's stay has restored the long-awaited confidence in the team.
