Electric scooter rentals now available in the Metro Moskva app

Maxim Liksutov, head of the Moscow Department of Transport, announced that Velobike electric scooters can now be rented via the Metro Moskva app. This innovation is part of integrating the city's transport system into a single digital ecosystem, reports Ixbt.com .

App users can locate nearby scooters on the map, check their battery levels, and book a ride with just a few taps. Simply navigate to the "Services" section in your personal account.

To use the new feature, users must update the app to the latest version. Currently, the Velobike fleet includes over 9,000 bicycles and nearly 4,000 electric scooters.

Officials noted that this integration aims to make transport services more convenient and efficient for residents and visitors of the capital.
