Amazon Alexa+ can now create podcasts

Amazon introduced a new feature for Alexa+ on Monday that allows users to create podcast episodes on any topic. This innovation, called “Alexa Podcasts,” is now available to users in the US. Now, users can simply ask Alexa+ to create a podcast on a topic of interest without writing any scripts or uploading documents. This is reported by Techcrunch.com reports .

The system collects information upon request and creates an episode in the form of a short commentary. Users can customize the duration, tone, and direction of the podcast according to their preferences. Once ready, AI-generated voices read the text, and the user is notified via an Echo Show device or the Alexa app.

This step is part of Amazon's strategy to transform Alexa+ from a simple voice assistant into a personal content creation tool. However, AI-generated voices and automated content may spark debates regarding ethical issues and data accuracy.

To ensure data reliability, Amazon is partnering with reputable news agencies such as Associated Press, Reuters, The Washington Post, and Forbes. In the future, the company is also exploring new capabilities such as creating audio content based on personalized news briefings and user documents.
