Compact Hiksemi MAGE50X NAS server with neural processor unveiled

Hiksemi has unveiled the MAGE50X, a five-slot NAS server that serves as a personal cloud storage system with artificial intelligence capabilities. The device is announced to be priced at $220. This is reported by Ixbt.com .

This NAS server is built on an 8nm process and is equipped with a neural processor (NPU) consisting of 4 Cortex-A72 and 4 Cortex-A53 cores. The device is capable of decoding 8K video at 30 fps and 4K video at 60 fps.

The Hiksemi MAGE50X features an aluminum chassis, 4 GB of RAM, and 64 GB of eMMC flash storage. Interfaces include an SD/microSD card slot, 5 Gbps USB-C and USB-A ports, HDMI 2.1 TMDS, and a 2.5 Gbps RJ45 port.

The device supports JBOD, Basic, and RAID 0/1/5/6/10 operating modes. It is also enriched with cross-platform connectivity, AI-based monitoring, a smart assistant, photo album management, search, and audiovisual features.
