Visa-free entry rules for Uzbekistan citizens to Thailand are changing

The Thai government has approved new changes regarding visa-free entry and the Visa on Arrival system. This was reported by the Dunyo news agency.

It is reported that starting July 15, 2026, the 60-day visa-free regime for citizens of 93 countries will be abolished. Uzbekistan is included in this list, meaning Uzbek citizens will no longer be able to enter Thailand visa-free as before.

The decision will come into force 15 days after its official publication in the local Royal Gazette. The official announcement is expected to be released next week.

According to the new rules, citizens of Uzbekistan will need to apply for a visa online to travel to Thailand. Applications must be submitted via the Thai E-Visa platform.

As a reminder, on May 20 of this year, the Thai government announced it would reduce the visa-free period for citizens of over 90 countries due to rising crime rates involving foreigners. Under the new regulations, instead of the previous 60-day visa-free regime, tourists will only be able to stay in Thailand for up to 30 days without a visa.
