In January-March 2026, electricity production in the country brought new achievements to the sector. According to the Ministry of Energy, the volume of electricity generated during this period increased by 7% compared to the same period last year.
During the reporting period, a total of 23 billion 317 million kWh of electricity was generated in the republic. This figure is 1 billion 471 million kWh more than in the same period in 2025, or more precisely, an increase of 7%.
Also, in the first quarter of 2026, 20 billion 163 million kWh of electricity were supplied to consumers. This is 262 million kWh or 1% more than in the same period last year.
The Ministry of Energy decided to create a special headquarters in order to promptly respond to requests and further improve the system. This headquarters will play an important role in establishing its work and systematically organizing work in the sector.
In the future, these indicators are expected to increase further for sustainable development and efficient work in the energy sector.
