On April 7, the Senate discussed and adopted the new version of the Law "On Motorways". The main goal of the law is to develop road infrastructure, determine the procedure for using roads, and systematize relations in the field. Also, special attention was paid to transparency and openness in the decision-making process.
One of the biggest innovations was the ban on artificial obstacles and irregularities on roads. This decision is aimed at reducing road accidents and increasing traffic safety. Another important point is that roads can be paid or free, which ensures the development of infrastructure in this area through private investment or state cooperation.
According to the law, a special permit is required for the movement of heavy vehicles. Thus, roads will be financed on the basis of public-private partnerships to fully regulate road safety issues.
This law will help improve road infrastructure, increase traffic speed and reduce traffic jams. At the same time, important measures are set to reduce the number of road accidents and protect human lives.
