A new record for passenger flow has been set on the Tashkent Metro. On May 8 of this year, 1,117,061 passengers used the metro services in a single day. This was reported by the Tashkent Metro.
For comparison, while 986,916 passengers used the metro on May 8, 2025, this number reached 1,105,883 on May 7, 2026, marking a 12 percent increase. Similarly, while 953,220 passengers were recorded on May 15, 2025, this figure reached 1,044,736 on May 14, 2026, an increase of nearly 10 percent.
Experts note that the number of metro users increases sharply, especially on Thursdays and Fridays. This is attributed to high levels of work and social activity on these days.
It is noted that the Tashkent Metro has become one of the most convenient and fastest modes of transport for passengers in recent years.
