The Bundesliga match of the 19th round between Freiburg and Cologne was eventful. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.
In the 10th minute of the game, Cologne opened the score: Max Rosenfelder scored an own goal. However, Freiburg immediately responded — in the 11th minute, Yuito Suzuki intensified the attack, passed to Derrie Sherhant, who lobbed the goalkeeper to equalize.
In the 44th minute, the hosts took the lead: Igor Matanovic finished off a pass from Matthias Ginter, putting Freiburg ahead 2:1.
In the middle of the second half, a penalty was awarded to Cologne — Alessio Castro-Montes was noted for handball. But Matanovic failed to score from 11 meters: the goalkeeper saved his shot, sending the ball out for a corner.
The victory lifted Freiburg to 7th place in the tournament table, while Cologne remained in 10th position.
