Huawei overtakes Apple in the Chinese smartphone market

Huawei has doubled its market share in China compared to Apple, securing the lead in the smartphone market. The tech giant currently controls a quarter of the local market, according to a report by.
As of the 19th week of the year (May 4-10), high demand for Huawei Pura 90 Pro models has propelled the company to first place with a 25.55% market share. Additionally, the Enjoy 90 series, particularly the Pro Max modification, is significantly outselling iPhone 17 models in the entry-level smartphone segment.
Oppo, which includes the Oppo, OnePlus, and realme brands, took second place with a 15.83% share. Vivo and iQOO hold third place with 15.62%, while Xiaomi (along with Redmi) is in fourth place with 14.49%.
Apple has fallen to fifth place with a 13.08% share. The Honor brand occupies the sixth position. Analysts attribute Huawei's success to innovative solutions and high consumer trust in the brand.
