Liverpool targets two star forwards to replace Mohamed Salah

Liverpool continues to search for suitable candidates to replace Mohamed Salah following his departure. If the transfer of Yan Diomande fails to materialize, the club is considering Anthony Gordon and Bradley Barcola as alternatives. Arne Slot intends to restore the team's attacking potential ahead of the new season. This is reported by Goal.com .

Mohamed Salah's tenure at Liverpool has come to an end. During his time at Anfield, the Egyptian star made 442 appearances and was directly involved in 380 goals. Now, Arne Slot faces the difficult task of filling the void left by one of the greatest forwards in club history. The manager has emphasized that wingers play a decisive role in the team's tactical setup.

RB Leipzig forward Yan Diomande remains the primary target for Liverpool. The 19-year-old Ivory Coast international recorded 13 goals and 10 assists in his debut season in Germany. However, the German club is expected to demand more than €100 million for the talented teenager.

For this reason, Liverpool is also monitoring Newcastle winger Anthony Gordon and PSG star Bradley Barcola. Gordon's experience and pace in the Premier League are highly valued. Barcola was on the club's radar last year, but the transfer was halted at the time to avoid blocking the path for young talents in the academy.

Arne Slot acknowledged that Mohamed Salah's departure is a significant loss for the team. "The role of the wingers was incomparable in our successes last season. They scored goals and created chances. We need players who can pose a threat on both flanks," the Liverpool head coach stated.
