Renowned creator Ahad Qayum has been in the spotlight recently due to his controversial opinions. He commented on the situation surrounding the play featuring Turkish actor Burak Özçivit.
Ahad Qayum noted that the fact that some spectators left the hall before the end of the play indicates significant problems in the cultural environment. In his opinion, Uzbek audiences are not yet fully prepared to accept stage works in this format.
"Our people need to be prepared to watch plays first," he noted. The creator believes it is necessary to work seriously on issues of stage culture, audience level, and the proper reception of works.
For this reason, Ahad Qayum stated that he is in no hurry to implement large and complex stage projects for now. He believes it is important to first improve the taste and preparation of the audience.
