Microsoft Confirms: Samsung Gallery and OneDrive Integration to End

Microsoft has officially announced the end of the integration between the Samsung Gallery app and the OneDrive cloud service. According to this change, starting September 30, 2026, users will no longer be able to link their Samsung Gallery app to their OneDrive account to back up their photos and videos. This is reported by Ixbt.com .

Users currently utilizing this feature are advised to switch to the official OneDrive app to update settings and continue creating backups. Microsoft has provided step-by-step instructions on how to set up data storage through its own app.

It is worth noting that users will still be able to upload media files to the cloud via the OneDrive app, but direct synchronization with Samsung Gallery will be discontinued. This marks the end of a specific part of the long-standing partnership between the two platforms.

Microsoft representatives stated that after September 30, 2026, the Samsung Gallery app will no longer sync photos with OneDrive. Additionally, all photos stored in the OneDrive cloud will disappear from the Samsung Gallery app interface, but will remain safe within the cloud service itself.
