How to use Google's new information agents

At the 2026 I/O conference, Google introduced new agent systems that allow users to stay updated on topics of interest. This technology goes beyond answering questions, expanding AI capabilities to act independently and perform tasks on behalf of the user. This is reported by Techcrunch.com .
Unlike traditional search engines, Google's new agents monitor stock market changes, flight prices, or sports news 24/7. They collect and analyze data from various sources and present ready-made summaries to the user, serving as an advanced evolution of the Google Alerts service.
To use this feature, simply go to the AI Mode section in Google Search and enter your request. For example, if you set a query for specific movie tickets or news, the system will send push notifications when important changes occur. All active tracking can be managed and edited via the AI Mode history.
Google has also fundamentally updated its search engine, introducing a "smart search box" that understands more complex and conversational queries. The new interface and AI-based suggestion system make the search process more precise and efficient.
The new information agents will be launched this summer. Initially, this feature will be available to Google AI Pro and Ultra subscribers in the US, with a gradual rollout to other markets to follow.
