Now, the «Moya volna» feature provides «hyper-contextual» recommendations, taking into account not only the user's personal taste but also their mood, time of day, day of the week, and the device being used. For example, a jazz fan using a laptop on a workday will be offered «calm jazz for work». The service also creates personalized musical scenarios based on user habits, such as «rock and roll for running».
This update is based on the ARGUS (AutoRegressive Generative User Sequential Modeling) generative model, which analyzes user actions in real time. Additionally, through the «Vstryaxnut Moyu volnu» feature, users can quickly change the mood and context of the music with a single gesture.
The new system pays special attention to creators. Now, recommendations include not only listening to music but also the opportunity to learn interesting facts about artists with the help of artificial intelligence.
The new features are already available to Yandex Plus subscribers in Russia and Belarus. In the coming days, the update will be available to all users on iOS and Android apps, as well as the web version.
