Job positions at state banks will be reduced

On October 4, 2025, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev signed a decree "On measures to optimize staff units of executive authorities by introducing broad digitalization," Uz24.uz reported.

The content of the decree:

– The tasks and functions of executive authorities will be digitalized;

– Artificial intelligence technologies will be introduced;

– As a result, 2,141 staff units will be reduced.

These measures are aimed at increasing management efficiency, reducing repetitive functions, and cutting bureaucracy.

Organizational changes:

The Ministry of Economy and Finance and the State Assets Management Agency, in enterprises where the state's share is 50% or more:

– will propose reducing at least one deputy manager position,

– and reducing the number of management personnel by 10 percent.

Banks covered:

The decree also covers the following state banks:

– Halk Bank

– Uzmilliybank

– Uzsanoatqurilishbank

– Agrobank

– Business Development Bank

– Aloqabank

– Asakabank

– Microcreditbank

– Turonbank

In each of them, one deputy manager position will be reduced, and management staff will be decreased by 10%.

Final goal:

The decree is aimed at improving state administration based on digital solutions, reducing the human factor, and optimizing expenses.
