Serious internal conflicts at Bayern: Max Eberl could leave

Despite the successes achieved during the season, it has become known that serious disagreements have arisen within the Bayern leadership. According to Kicker, the club has been in a state of internal fragmentation for several months. At the center of these tensions is sporting director Max Eberl, whose future at the club has suddenly come into question. This is reported by Goal.com reports .

Relations between members of the club's board of directors have cooled significantly. In particular, it is said that ties between Max Eberl and his colleague Christoph Freund have become strained. However, the biggest threat for the 52-year-old Eberl comes from the top management — the club's supervisory board is highly skeptical of his working style.

The situation was further heated by Bayern honorary president Uli Hoeneß. In an interview with Der Spiegel, he estimated the possibility of extending the contract with Eberl beyond 2027 at only 60 to 40 percent. Hoeneß emphasized that Eberl is still on probation at the record champions and a final decision on his future will be made at the August meeting.

Bild adds that the supervisory board accuses the sporting director of breach of trust and making hasty decisions in the transfer market. Currently, the Bayern leadership doubts that Eberl is the right leader to guide the club into the future.
