NASA plans to launch rockets to the Moon every month starting in 2027

The US National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) intends to drastically increase the frequency of space flights to Earth's satellite. In an interview with Fox News, agency representative Jared Isaacman stated that starting in 2027, the US plans to send unmanned spacecraft to the Moon almost every month. This is reported by Ixbt.com .

According to him, the first test flights of unmanned vessels could begin as early as this year. The main goal of these regular robotic landings is to prepare engineering and technical groundwork and expand infrastructure for building a permanent American base located in the Moon's South Pole region.

Jared Isaacman emphasized that the technologies developed and tested during the process of building infrastructure on the lunar surface are of critical importance for the future of all crewed spaceflight. The experience and skills gained in the field of automated construction will serve as a foundation for organizing the first long-term human expedition to Mars in history.

According to the schedule of the third phase of the Artemis program, the landing of American astronauts on the Moon is expected to take place in 2028. Sending the first crewed ships to the Red Planet is planned for approximately the mid-2030s.
