Strange screenshot error occurs on Honor smartphones

According to Huawei Central, many Honor smartphone owners are complaining about an unusual technical glitch. When users try to take a screenshot, a system notification unexpectedly appears on the screen saying: "Cannot save screenshot due to insufficient storage space." This is reported by Ixbt.com reports .
This issue is being observed across various Honor models, ranging from the relatively older Honor 90 to the latest Honor 600. Given the scale of the glitch, it is suspected that the problem lies not in the device itself, but in the system's server or cloud component.
One user reported that despite clearing the gallery app cache and manually deleting over 3,500 old screenshots, the error persisted. So far, standard memory clearing methods or restarting the smartphone have not helped resolve the issue.
Interestingly, this false error message only appears when using the standard screen gesture to take a screenshot. Meanwhile, other tools—such as long screenshots, special knuckle gestures, and screen recording functions—continue to work as usual.
Most importantly, despite the warning message appearing on the screen, the screenshot is still successfully saved to the device's storage. Honor has not yet provided an official comment regarding this error.
