More boys than girls born in Uzbekistan in 3 months

In Uzbekistan, more than 191,000 live births were officially registered during the first three months of 2026. The National Statistics Committee released this data.

It is noted that a total of 191,086 babies were born across the country between January and March.

According to statistical figures, the majority of newborns were boys.

Specifically, 98,500 or 51.5% were boys, while the number of girls reached 92,600, accounting for 48.5% of the total.

When analyzed by region, 93,700 births were recorded in urban areas. In rural areas, this figure reached 97,400, representing the largest share of total births.
