Ulyanovsk Automobile Plant CEO Ilnur Sakhabiev showcased the official video of the updated UAZ Patriot model on his VK Video channel. The plant head confirmed that the SUV will hit the market this autumn. This was reported by Ixbt.com .
It is reported that three novelties will be presented in the fall: in addition to the updated Patriot, modernized Pickup and Profi models will also go on sale. The video shows the SUV's new steering wheel design and dashboard in detail.
The interior clearly features a new 6-speed manual transmission lever and a rotary selector for transfer case control. It was also revealed that a climate control unit and numerous USB ports for rear-seat passengers have been installed.
Technically, the updated UAZ Patriot will be equipped with a 150 hp 2.7-liter ZMZ Pro gasoline engine and a new 136 hp 2.0-liter turbodiesel engine. Both power units will work in conjunction with the new 6-speed manual transmission.
According to previously released information, the vehicle is expected to feature a new media system with a 9-inch screen and full LED optics.
