Bashkortostan and Uzbekistan have signed a roadmap for the development of trade and economic relations. According to RBK, this document was signed on December 3 in Tashkent.
The document was signed by Deputy Prime Minister of Uzbekistan Jamshid Khodjayev and the head of Bashkortostan, Radiy Khabirov. Agreements were also reached on fostering cooperation in tourism, education, and culture.
“Each clause includes specific actions, deadlines, and responsible parties. This document will strengthen our relations and make cooperation even more effective,” said Khabirov.
Uzbekistan is one of Ufa's key trade partners. Last year, bilateral trade volume reached $198 million, with an annual growth rate of nearly 17 percent.
Economic ties between Tashkent and Ufa are also expanding. This spring, the parties signed agreements worth a total of 2.8 billion rubles or $36.3 million.
One of the largest projects is the construction of a business center in Ufa.
