Khairiddin Sultanov awarded the title “People’s Writer of Uzbekistan”

Khairiddin Sultanov, an adviser to the President of Uzbekistan and an author who works on presidential speeches, has been awarded the honorary title “People’s Writer of the Republic of Uzbekistan.” President Shavkat Mirziyoyev signed the relevant decree.
The official document notes that the title was granted for Sultanov’s many years of service in state institutions, his significant contribution to the development of Uzbek literature and culture, his impactful works on historical and contemporary themes, and his efforts in educating the younger generation in the spirit of love for the Motherland and devotion to the ideals of independence. He was also recognized for his active role in the country’s socio-political life.
The decision was made on the occasion of the writer’s 70th anniversary. Khairiddin Sultanov was born in the Tuzel settlement of Qibray district, Tashkent region. He graduated from the Faculty of Journalism of Tashkent State University and worked at the “Guliston” and “Yoshlik” magazines, as well as at the Literature and Art Publishing House.
Since 1993, he has worked in the Presidential Administration in various leadership positions and served as a state adviser on public relations, culture, and press matters. In 1999–2003, he also served as a deputy of the Oliy Majlis.
Khairiddin Sultanov is the author of several collections of short stories and novellas. His works include the books “The Sun Is Equal for Everyone,” “A Tale of One Evening,” “Mother Earth,” and “Life Goes On...”. The image of Babur holds a special place in his writing: the theme is broadly explored in the novella “Shores of Happiness” and in the educational novel “Baburiy-noma,” noted as a significant phenomenon in modern Uzbek prose.
