Cargill corporation to invest $5 billion in Uzbek energy sector

UNG Overseas, a foreign subsidiary of Uzbekneftegaz, and the US-based Cargill Corporation have signed an agreement to attract up to $3 billion in funding, with the possibility of increasing the amount to $5 billion. The agreement is aimed at developing Uzbekistan's energy, water management, and environmental sectors.

The primary objectives of the agreement include ensuring energy security and supporting sustainable development. Both parties intend to finance projects aimed at supplying enterprises with electricity, modernizing infrastructure, and improving the management of energy and water resources.
