The priest's promise to "privatize" the land: fraudsters were caught in two cases

In the Pap district of the Namangan region, the "acceleration" of land and cadastral documentation, "resolution through acquaintances," once again cost dearly. As a result of the measures carried out by the operational services, two cases of illegal actions related to officials who promised to formalize the land plot as private property were stopped.

First case: 2 thousand dollars for 30 sotkas of land and 6 sotkas of housing

It was reported that an assistant to the khokim at one of the citizens' gatherings of the mahalla told a citizen born in 1988 that he would register 30 acres of land allocated for 49 years for farming as private property through his official acquaintances. Also, under the pretext of preparing the relevant cadastral documents for a house built on 6 acres of this land, 2 thousand US dollars were demanded.

During an operational event conducted by employees of the State Security Service and the Department for Combating Economic Crimes, the assistant khokim was detained while receiving 1000 US dollars in advance through an acquaintance born in 1990.

Criminal proceedings have been initiated against these individuals under Article 168, Part 2, Clause "b," and Article 28, Part 1 of the Criminal Code. An investigation is currently underway.

Second case: received money for 10 acres of reserve land

In another case in the same district, an employee of the Pap district branch of the State Cadastre Chamber was detained while receiving 900 US dollars and 4.8 million soums in exchange for registering 10 sotkas of land in the state reserve and the house built on it as personal property in the name of a citizen through "acquaintances."

A criminal case has been initiated against the cadastral employee under part 3 of Article 168 of the Criminal Code. The investigation is ongoing.

Instead of a conclusion

Both of these situations indicate one thing: in the land issue, the path of "if you pay, you can" usually ends in one place. If matters such as formalization, cadastre, and property rights, under the pretext of "acceleration," lead to illegal money circulation, the operational authorities will not let it go far.
