Exchange rates for January 5: the dollar, euro and ruble start 2026 with a decline

The Central Bank of Uzbekistan has announced the official rates for January 5, 2026. According to the data, the US dollar stood at 12,004.41 soums, down by 20.92 soums compared to the previous figure. This was reported by kursiv.uz.reports.

The euro rate also fell: it dropped by 33.04 soums to 14,129.19 soums. The Russian ruble weakened by 1.66 soums and was set at 153.59 soums.

On December 30 at 18:25 (Tashkent time), commercial banks are buying the dollar at 12,000 soums and selling it at 12,030 soums. Banks are buying the ruble at 144 soums and selling it at 155 soums. The euro is being bought from the public at 13,950 soums and sold at 14,180 soums.
