Russia is reportedly pushing Ukraine out of Uzbekistan’s dairy market

O‘zbekiston sut bozorida Rossiya Ukrainani siqib chiqargani ma’lum bo‘ldiCompetition in Uzbekistan’s dairy products market is becoming increasingly intense. At the same time, reports have emerged that Russian companies are pushing Ukrainian producers out of the local market. This was stated openly by Oleksandr Suchko, CEO of the company “Horol Baby Food Plant.”

According to him, after the Syrian market nearly disappeared, Russian and Belarusian manufacturers quickly revised their export routes and began paying serious attention to Uzbekistan. They are pursuing a fairly aggressive pricing policy to secure a foothold in the market. This factor has made competition extremely difficult for Ukrainian companies.

As a result, Ukrainian producers have sharply reduced supplies of milk and dairy products to Uzbekistan, and in some cases have stopped altogether. Experts believe that if the situation does not change, Ukraine’s exports may shrink even further in the near future.

This view was also supported by Aleksey Dikhterenko, Export Director at “KOMO.” He said that Russian and Belarusian companies are now actively looking for new markets and are focusing primarily on Central Asian countries, particularly Uzbekistan.

It is worth noting that Ukrainian producers previously held leading positions in this region. However, the current situation indicates that market forces are being reshuffled.

In short, new rules of the game are taking shape in Uzbekistan’s dairy market. Time will tell how this process will affect prices, product range, and consumer choice.
