
Uzbek athletes continue to perform successfully at the Islamic Solidarity Games taking place in Riyadh. Representatives in fencing have added several medals to the delegation’s tally.
In the men's foil competition, Ilyas Molina and Radmir Semenev faced off against each other in the semifinals. Molina emerged victorious in their encounter, while Semenev stopped just short of the final, earning a bronze medal.
In the women's épée competition, Shohzoda Egamberdiyeva secured a bronze medal. She reached the semifinals but lost to her Turkish opponent.
Her result became an important addition to today's medal count. In the men's foil final, Ilyas Molina narrowly lost to his Turkish rival with a score of 14–15.
Despite the close match, Molina secured the silver medal, bringing a valuable achievement to the team. In the women's épée final, Uzbekistan claimed another medal.
Sevara Rahimova contested a challenging match against a Turkish opponent and earned second place. Her performance concluded today's medal report for the fencing team.
