Uzbekistan will establish a project office to develop the greenhouse industry. This is stated in a government resolution dated January 7. This was reported by kursiv.uz. reports .
According to the document, the office, which will consist of six people, will coordinate a program to develop greenhouses and improve their efficiency. The organization will also work on introducing initiatives based on international experience.
It is planned that this year Uzbekistan will increase exports of agricultural products grown in greenhouses to $3.5 billion, and to $4 billion by 2027.
In addition, to improve air quality in Tashkent, the process of switching all greenhouses to gas will be accelerated. The Ministry of Energy has been tasked with signing fuel supply contracts and ensuring uninterrupted fuel supply to the capital’s greenhouse farms.
