The Asian region of the Handball Trophy Cup was held in the tourist-crowded city of Pattaya, Thailand, and the competition is remembered by the name of Uzbekistan. Among strong opponents from different countries of our continent, our U17 team demonstrated dynamic play and an uncompromising character, winning all competitions and winning the main prize of the competition - the gold medal.
The final match was especially dramatic and at a high tempo. The Indian youth also put in all their effort, but the will of our compatriots prevailed: the score - 40:33. In this match, which took place at the youth wrestling level, our girls accurately completed each attack, putting the opponent in an unsuccessful position.
Thanks to this victory, our team qualified for next year's World Championship for girls under 18. This is a brilliant result and an important turning point in the new generation of sports.
Interestingly, in previous U19 category competitions, our compatriots did not lose the championship and secured the main prize and a World Cup spot. Therefore, it is a great honor that two generations of our young handball players have conquered Asia in just one year and are entering the world arena.
Such continuous successes in the world of sports are not accidental. This is a practical result of labor, discipline, and the conditions created for young athletes in Uzbekistan.
