Initially, "Mallorca" opened the scoring as early as the 5th minute. Manu Morlanes concluded the attack with a precise shot.
The hosts then sought to consolidate their lead, but "Elche" gradually gained control of possession and increased the pressure. In the 21st minute, "Elche" equalized, though it was due to an own goal against them.
Pablo Maffeo inadvertently directed the ball into his own net. Nevertheless, "Mallorca" remained undeterred and continued to fight in the opponent's penalty area.
The decisive moment came in the 82nd minute. Omar Mascarell delivered a strike from outside the penalty area, putting "Mallorca" ahead.
