Uzhydromet reported that due to the expected precipitation and sharp changes in air temperature from January 27 to 30, there is a risk of snow avalanches in a number of mountainous regions of the country.
According to specialists, during these days it is necessary to strengthen precautionary measures in the following areas:
In Kashkadarya region — Dehqonobod, Kitob, Qamashi and Shahrisabz districts.
In Surkhandarya region — Boysun, Qumqo‘rg‘on, Sariosiyo and Uzun districts.
In Samarkand region — Nurobod, Qo‘shrabot, Samarkand and Urgut districts.
In Jizzakh region — Baxmal and Zomin districts.
In Tashkent region — Bo‘stonliq, Parkent and Ohangaron districts, particularly in the areas of the Chatkal mountain range.
In Namangan region — Pop district.
Meteorologists urge residents of mountainous areas, vacationers, as well as drivers traveling in these directions, to be extremely cautious, limit non-essential trips, and strictly follow safety regulations.
According to available information, weather instability may persist, therefore it is important to pay close attention to official warnings.
